TheLightBulb expands their portfolio of courses and introduces......

National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders

The NCPLH qualification is a legal requirement for anyone wishing to apply for a Personal Licence - you need a personal licence if you wish to sell alcohol by retail or authorise others to sell on your behalf.  Selling alcohol by retail will include all on-sales or off-sales from pubs, hotels, restaurants, night clubs, shops, supermarkets and entertainment venues.  TheLightBulb can offer this course on a variety of dates at a price of £199 per delegate which includes one training day, a manual and an online test.  For further information contact Carol Twydell.

Introduction to Trainer Skills (City and Guilds Accredited)

This award is the ideal qualification for those who train others within their organisations. Our interactive two day course will provide participants with a sound introduction to the concepts of a systematic approach to training. TheLightBulb can offer this course on a variety of dates at a price of £450 per delegate which includes two days training and certification through City and Guilds.  This can also be held at your own site at a fixed cost.  For further information contact Carol Twydell or Lesley Decker.

28th May 2009.  AWARD RECEIVED

TheLightBulb has been awarded East of England Provider of the Month for March by the LSC at a ceremony today in Bury St Edmunds.

This prestigious award reflects the quality of training provision offered under the Train to Gain Funding Scheme by TheLightBulb. It was recognised that TheLightBulb supports their learners to achieve NVQs in a timely manner with exemplary success rates. They share best practice with other providers in the region and have excelled at providing Skills for Life qualifications to over 40% of their learners within the last 9 months.

TheLightBulb are one of few providers within the region who have maintained their contract and are still able to sign up new Train to Gain learners within the current Contract year.

Lesley Jones (Managing Director of TheLightBulb) said "how proud she was of the whole team for enabling the company to gain this award and would like to thank her clients for their continued support"

13th March 2009.  RED NOSE DAY

Friday 13th is supposed to be unlucky for some, however for us it was the complete opposite.  We decided as a company to dress up as Heroes and Villains for Comic Relief with staff and customers donating money and prizes for a raffle.

Throughout the day we sold raffle tickets to customers of local companies and many of them joined in the fun.  It was a very enjoyable day with lots of laughter but most importantly we raised over £160 towards the Comic Relief Fund.

We would like to thank our client Props n Frocks of Battlesbridge Essex who offered all TheLightBulb staff a 10% discount on costumes.

7th July 2008. POPULAR ACCOUNTANCY PACKAGE IS ADDED TO PORTFOLIO

Our ever growing portfolio of training packages has now been enhanced by the addition of the industry standard Sage Line 50 Software.

2nd July 2008. TheLightBulb receives a makeover

Following 5 years at the forefront of training in the East of England, we have now undertaken a huge change to our image.

Leading this change is our new and vastly improved web site. From here you can download profiles of all our courses, browse any employment opportunities we may have available, read all the latest news concerning us and much, much more. Coupled with our distinctive new logo and layout, we hope that finding the right course for you or your employees is an even easier experience.

We may have a vastly different look. However, some things never change - like our high quality training, helpful staff and our legendary learning experience.

Check back often for further developments and additions to our site.

1st July 2008. TheLightBulb increases its NVQ portfolio

TheLightBulb are pleased to announce a significant increase in the number of vocational qualifications that they are able to deliver.

Following a number of successful visits from City & Guilds the list has been expanded with the addition of the following qualifications...

This follows on from the already successful delivery of NVQs in Customer Service, ITQ, Team Leading & A1 Assessor Award. More awards are in the pipeline once accreditation visits have been carried out and this will mean that TheLightBulb truly will be a 'one stop shop'.
