TheLightBulb Apprenticeship Programme

TheLightBulb deliver apprenticeships that match the needs of local employers - allowing organisations to upskill existing staff of all ages or recruit specifically for an apprenticeship programme.

Having an apprentice can deliver real returns to your bottom line. Apprentices tend to be eager, motivated, and flexible as well as loyal to the company that invest in them, remember an apprentice is with you because they want to be- they have made an active choice to learn on the job and a commitment to a specific career. As an employer we can provide you with apprentices in a number of different roles.  If you want to find out more then please contact Andrea Gregory.

Health & Safety Training

Our Health & Safety courses include IOSH accredited programmes, COSHH, first aid, manual handling, risk assessment and plant operator (fork lift truck) training. Food hygiene, cleaning and health & social care training courses and NVQ’s are also available.  We also have health and safety consultants available to offer advice and assistance.

Did you say Free Training? Yes! With Train to Gain and other funding streams, government and ESF funding is available for many of our Management & Leadership Training, Business Training, Health and Safety Training, Computer Training and Construction Training courses. We can also offer funded team building workshops tailored to your needs.

Contact us to find out more about funded employee training – which can include soft skills as well as technical training. We offer NVQ level 2 and level 3 in construction - including fork lift truck and all areas of plant machinery. NVQs level 2 and level 3 are available in computer training (ITQ’s). We also offer NVQs in housing and health & social care, business administration, customer service skills, warehousing & storage and cleaning with the added benefit of training rather than assessment only for most of these.

If you are looking for free courses in Leadership and Management Development Training we can help here too, with ILM NVQ level 2 in team leading and NVQ level 3 in management also on our list of funded training courses.  Both of these ILM accredited courses contain human resources modules and actively encourage team building and communication skills.

TheLightBulb has successfully achieved TQS status following assessments in June and July 2010. Once again we credit this to the commitment and dedication of our team in providing excellent customer service.

It highlights high quality, high impact training, by looking at the organisation’s responsiveness, flexibility, expertise and commitment to continuous improvement.
